דילמה: האם יש ביסוס מדעי לפעילויות הרפואיות / ביולוגיות של ויטמינים שונים? האם יש מאמרים מדעיים שתומכים לדוגמה בקיום כ-300 פעילויות של ויטמין C ? – תשאלו את מומחי הרפואה והם יגידו שאין מאמרים מדעיים שמוכיחים זאת. שיטת הרמ”ת (רפואה מונעת תכליתית) מוכיחה שיש מעל 50 אלף עבודות מדעיות רק על ויטמין C – כפי שהן נרשמות בחיפוש ב- PubMed או ב- MedLine.

מהו Impact Factor?

Impact Factor, או בעברית: “מקדם ההשפעה” של כתב העת, הוא מדד ביבליומטרי מקובל המשמש להערכת מידת ההשפעה המדעית של כתב עת אקדמי. המדד מחושב לפי מספר הציטוטים שקיבלו מאמרים שפורסמו בכתב העת בשנתיים הקודמות, ביחס למספר המאמרים המדעיים שפורסמו בו באותן שנים. לדוגמה, אם מאמרים שפורסמו בכתב עת בשנים 2022 ו־2023 צוטטו בשנת 2024 פעמים רבות, הדבר יעלה את ה־Impact Factor של כתב העת לשנת 2024.

המדד הרשמי נקרא בדרך כלל Journal Impact Factor, בקיצור JIF, והוא מתפרסם מדי שנה במסגרת Journal Citation Reports, או בקיצור JCR, של חברת Clarivate. לכן הסימון המקובל ליד שם כתב העת הוא למשל:

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition [JIF 2024: 6.9]

כלומר: לכתב העת הזה היה Journal Impact Factor לשנת 2024 בערך של 6.9.
כאשר ליד כתב עת מופיע הסימון N/A, המשמעות היא שלא נמצא לו Impact Factor רשמי ברור במאגר JCR, או שהוא אינו מופיע ככתב עת בעל JIF רשמי.
